Responsibilities：
The Manager of Manufacturing Development Engineering (MDE) will provide leadership for a team of Manufacturing Development Engineers who are responsible for design, build, and qualification of manufacturing processes for Datacomm products.
 
The primary mission of the Manufacturing Development Engineering Manager is to build a team that is technically competent and able to develop new high speed stamping and injection molding processes utilizing the design standards.  An equally important primary objective for this position is to implement standard work as much as possible in accordance with LEANPD specification to reduce manufacturing process development lead time.

 Requirements：
Develop Datacomm MDE team technical competency through:
ü        Implementation of individual development plans and training programs
ü        Global collaboration with MDE teams in other regions
ü        Identifying technical competency gaps and implementing plans to address
¨        Drive Bill of Process methodology through the organization to describe manufacturing processes that are developed by the team
¨        Utilize Bill of Equipment tooling and process standards where appropriate
¨        Lead initiatives to reduce prototype and production tooling lead-time
¨        Support development of strategic partnerships with tooling suppliers
¨        Effectively manage MDE resources to ensure LEANPD projects are “staffed for success”
¨        Coach and assist MDE team members in their professional development
ü        Identify high performers and groom them for future positions; succession planning process
ü        Set developmental goals to “raise the bar” for performance in the team
¨        Communicate with senior management
ü        Build a coalition of support
ü        Ensure that their concerns are being addressed
¨        Resolve conflict and controversial issues
¨        Foster a culture of cost consciousness and best practice implementation
 
 
Qualification:
¨        Proven leadership skills developing and managing a cross-functional engineering team
¨        Strong technical background in tooling design and manufacturing process development
¨        Strong risk management skill with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues
¨        Hands-on project management expertise with proven track record to drive time to market balanced with commitment to quality
¨        Ability to manage uncertainty
¨        A conceptual thinker with strong attention to detail
 
Experience & Education Required
¨         Minimum of 10 years related engineering experience; 5 years of related manufacturing operations experience a plus
¨         Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent
¨         Excellent Chinese and English communication skill to interact with a cross-functional global team
