Responsibilities
Ø Be responsible for product formulations, technical services, product technical claims and approvals.
Ø Contributes to short and long range planning of the technical group.
Works with other departments such as Operations, PLM, Marketing, Sales, etc., to achieve common goals.
Ø Represents Valvoline on the technical front when interacting with customers and suppliers in the region (such as an OEM), and with toll manufacturers.
Ø Helps develop technical talent for the team; trains and empowers direct reports.
Ø Must have strong English speaking fluency and be skilled at written and oral communications.
Requirements
Ø 6 years of R&D experience in lube industry.
Ø Bachelor degree in chemistry, chemistry engineering or mechanical engineering.
Ø Certifications such as CLS (certified Lubrication Specialist) or OMA (Oil Monitoring Analyst) are a plus, but not required.
Ø Active, resulted-oriented.
